Tomorrow is the start of spring here in Australia, sunny days and lots of weddings are on their way. So what's been happening in the 'i do' it yourself office? Well, 12/12/12 is looking like a popular date for the big day this year, let's face it there will be no excuses not to remember anniversaries. Antique chic and rustic designs still dominate, with browns, greens and creams a popular choice.
According to The Knot, destination weddings in the US are on the increase up to 18%, and we've certainly noticed plenty of requests for destination designs. Bali's the place to be for Aussie brides, while Americans seem to be saying their i do's in the Dominican Republic.
As always we've been busy with some new designs, so here's the latest:
We have a cute new printable DIY project - large scrabble tiles. Great for wedding decorations. Just print them out and cut to make banners and signs for the backs of chairs - even table names.
Pop some champagne at your next celebration and pop your prints on this fun new guest book design. Guests leave a fingerprint to act as a splash of champagne! Beautiful to hang on your wall after a wedding or great for an anniversary.
This beautiful new wedding seating chart with faux chalkboard effect is proving very popular. Guests seating assignments are displayed inside elegant frames.
We added a cute new stationery range - hooked on you. Great for boating or fishing enthusiasts, or just cute for a seaside wedding. Illustrated with a pretty cartoon couple kissing in a boat.

To finish up our month of autumn inspired wedding goodness we've got Jae and Bee's beautiful big day to share compliments of the lovely Sara Renee Photography in Tennessee.
Bee looked stunning in an off the shoulder lace gown and simple bouquet with one big yellow chrysanthemum as the focus. We love all the unassuming little rustic touches, like the big initials simply wrapped in a mix of pretty fabric - a great DIY project to try. Nothing flashy or ostentatious, just good old fashioned country charm.
One of the best bits about an autumn wedding of course is the fabulous colour, so get out there and make the most of the amazing natural backdrop like Jae and Bee did.
There's an abundance of gorgeous designs to choose from, like the beautiful 'pumpkin spice' above, from one of our favourite etsy sellers Which Goose.

Dress your little man up for the big day with his very own bow tie.
I came across this gorgeous post on Sitting Pretty today and just had to share. How adorable would these little bow tie onsies be for a wedding - or any special event for that matter.
Sarah made these bow ties detachable with velcro for easy washing. What a great idea. If you'd like to have a go at making these yourself, Shwin and Shwin have a very easy to follow step by step here. Or you can visit Sarah's Sitting Pretty etsy shop to purchase a pre made one.

Simple ideas are often the best. Just take a couple of autumn leaves, and wrap them around a tea light holder or glass jar. Tie them up with a little bit of string, it doesn't matter if it's rough, and light them up!
So easy but so pretty.
