A nice day for a beach wedding

On- Monday, May 18

Bring a little summer fun to your save the date cards by photographing your wedding date in the sand. Perfect if your planning a beach wedding.

What you'll need: A Camera + A Beach + A Stick
Cant get much easier than that!

Step 1: Simply write the date of your wedding in the sand with the afore mentioned stick. You could also write the bride and groom's name plus the date, or add a love heart or two. But the best idea is to keep it as simple as possible. Sketch a few ideas out before you start.

Step 2: Photograph it. Depending on the beach its a good idea to get down low and take the shot at a bit of an angle to add some interest. Try to get the sea and some sky in the top corner of the picture, a boat or two if there are any around. Or get up high and shoot from above and get a wave coming into the photo. Play around with it until you get a shot you're happy with.

Step 3: You can now take your image and get it printed as a 6x4 or 5x7 print, some print shops will even turn it into a proper postcard. My preference is matt paper rather than the usual gloss and you could ask for a white border to be added, just to give it that extra finishing touch. Alternatively you could email your shot out. Make sure your file isn't too big though. 72dpi and around 25cm wide is a good guide.

So how do you like our first DIY project?
