Oh my god I cant believe one of my favourite photographers Sharon Montrose has released a book full of frenchie puppy photos! How cute are these!! I think Scampi is a bit too big to fit in our retro scales now.
This month we couldn't go past the stunning new bridal collections from Angelo Mozzillo. Beautiful photography and amazing dresses, whats not to love? We also stumbled on the work of North Caroline based wedding photographers Cheyenne and Geoff Schultz. What we loved about their work is their great ideas for photographing the grooms party. Too often you see over the top cheesy shots of the boys, sometimes their left out entirely! But the Schultzes have some fantastic ideas like this shift lens toy effect. So apart from lying around in the sun and sipping champagne, what are you going on your picnic wedding day? Play croquet of course. Basically the object of the game is to be the first to work a heavy ball through a set of nine wickets. All you need is a lawn and a croquet set!
When I cam across this cooking project from Our Best Bites it struck me as just the cutest addition to our picnic wedding. We mentioned yesterday about having pies as alternatives to traditional wedding cake, well wouldn't these be so perfect? Time again for a slice of wedding cake. Here are some of our favourite picnic cake ideas to inspire. Cupcakes make a great alternative too, easy to hand out at a picnic. Or totally forgo the traditional wedding cake for good old pieces of pie!

Green grass, gorgeous gingham and simple beauty combined in Sarah and Bobs outdoor New Jersey wedding. Beautifully captured by Miki Duisterhof, this wedding is full of the cutest little details. Dragonfly escort cards were pegged to a clothesline while Sarah carried a bouquet of simply stunning daisies. And they had the cutest centerpieces you've ever seen, from old watering cans to gum boots! This really is a pretty picnic wedding.
As we said before a picnic is not only a beautiful wedding idea it can be a big money saver too. Don't forget the picnic baskets of course. Guests could each receive their own baskets filled with food and drink for the day which doubles as a great wedding favour. Or use them to hold the order of service programs (pic by Jennifer Davis Photography) or champagne glasses as shown here. String pretty paper banners from the trees, hearts, birds and butterflies.

One of the best bits about having an outdoor picnic wedding is that the decorations are pretty much taken care off. But if you still fancy having a sit down meal some table decorations might be in order. This is such a simple and very budget friendly floral idea, perfect for your picnic.
DIY project:
Step 1. Just clean ordinary tin cans removing the label thoroughly.
Step 2. If you plan to use taller flowers you can glue some oasis with a glue gun to the bottom of the can to help secure your flowers.
Step 3. Decorating. There are plenty of options here, you can glue a little ribbon around the can to tie in with your colour scheme. You could print out new labels with your names and wedding date. Or you could just leave the cans as is. Finish off by filling with simple flowers such as daises or natives such as Flannel Flower and Geraldton Wax.
Told you it was easy! As a more colourful alternative us old tea tins or head to your local Asian food market for colourful tins just left as is.

We're going to get a bit practical with our fashion post this month. Because lets face it, if you're planning a proper picnic wedding (the one where you actually sit around on the floor) a little more thought needs to go into your wedding attire.
We're thinking short dresses are a fabulous options. Pretty ballet pumps to run around and play croquet, and plenty of floral themed accessories.

Display bunches of native wild flowers in a mix of glass bottles (do get your flowers from a florist though, not the national park) or old tin cans. As the sun goes down tin cans can even be transformed into beautiful candle holders.
