Nothing says relaxed charm like a pretty picnic. Perfect for a spring or summers day, get outdoors and let nature be your wedding backdrop.
Look simply stunning with natural fabrics in cream or off white like this ivory silk number from Sarah Seven.
Eco friendly plates and cutlery don't have to look cheap. These wooden forks were bought on ebay and look fabulous teamed with a simple cream napkin, wrapped in brown paper and tied up with string. Pic via The Brides Cafe. Eco friendly party supplies from Eco My Party.
Display bunches of native wild flowers in a mix of glass bottles (do get your flowers from a florist though, not the national park) or old tin cans. As the sun goes down tin cans can even be transformed into beautiful candle holders.
If the idea of sitting on the floor doesn't appeal you can still have the pretty picnic feel with outdoor table settings. Use gorgeous gingham table cloths or table runners and crisp white milk jugs filled with refreshments or flowers. Pic from Project Wedding.
Decorations can be kept to a minimum with the great outdoors as your venue. But strings beautiful butterflies hung from trees add a touch of magic. Pic from Brides.com
Throw in some pinwheels for place settings, decorations or just for fun. Pic from Brides.com
Don't forget to provide comfy cushions and shade for your guests. And picnic blankets and picnic baskets of course! Pics E Lucky Me and Zara Home.
