gap bluff centre

On- Thursday, March 18

I thought I would do a little post today about the Gap Bluff Centre where we held our wedding. When we started to look into venues last year I couldn't find any shots of the Gap Bluff Centre online, so hopefully this will prove useful to anyone looking for wedding venues in the Eastern Suburbs area of Sydney. There are two venues for hire - the Armoury, which is more of a big room, and the Officers Mess which we chose. It's a lovely old building with plenty of character and amazing views over Sydney. We held our ceremony out on the lawn by the fountain with the Sydney city skyline behind us. There are some fantastic walks right next door and beaches just moments away so we encouraged guests to get out and take a stroll or go for a swim.
For more info on the Gap Bluff Centre visit the Sydney Harbour National Parks website.

Many guests arrived by ferry into Watsons Bay, a great way to travel and a lovely way to see some of Sydney harbour too.

Amazing views from the venue

The beautiful walks rights next door to the venue had some stunning scenery

  3. Your idea for celebration was awesome. I liked it. We also provide space for any sort of celebration of any official meeting....

  4. I was one of the last officers to be posted to what was the Army Officers Mess of the 2nd Military District Personnel Depot. Most of us who were accommodated there worked at Vic Bks in Paddington. We were certainly the last to have batmen who, with a few dollars a week extra, would also double as valets. I have many stories and memories I could share with you but realise the boredom of it :-) Lieutenant (later Major) Pete Smith
